Google Ads introduces diagnostic insights

Google Ads is introducing a new dataset to the Insights page that highlights any issues found during diagnostic scans.

Diagnostic insights will help you identify issues that prevent campaigns from serving, cause low engagement, make it difficult to measure conversions, and more.

This information can be found on the Insights & Review page for Maximize Performance campaigns, allowing you to fix problems as soon as they are discovered.

Google Ads will provide a detailed breakdown of the following insights:

• Account balance
• Billing status
• Policy review
• Conversion tracking
• Advertising campaign budget
• Bidding strategy goal
• Action status
• The power of the ad

Customized recommendations will take the guesswork out of troubleshooting issues that Google detects, so you can get your campaign back to optimal performance in no time.

Diagnostic insights into Google Ads were previewed in May with the announcement that they will be available soon. Two months later, the launch is now underway.

Diagnostic insights are only shown if the campaign has received no traffic or conversions.

If your campaign is running and people are seeing and clicking on the ads, then there won’t be any diagnostic issues to report.

Please note that Google has not yet made the Insights page available to everyone as it is currently in beta.

Google gradually rolls out each type of insight to random people, which means you may end up with an insight page with limited data.

Currently, diagnostic insights are available for campaigns for maximum performance. The new data set will expand to other campaign types over the next few months.
