A confined Google search computer virus showing best one result for some users

Google has this weird Google search rendering bug where it only shows one search result to some users. This appears to be a very limited bug affecting a limited number of users. But for Google, even one percent of searchers is a lot of searches. Google said it would investigate the reports.

There have been complaints about this in the past few days Google Chrome Forumson Reddit and onward Twitter.

Here’s a screenshot of what one user sees, which is just one search result from Google Search:

On Reddit, a user posted that when logged in, he only gets one result, but when logged out and in incognito mode, he gets all search results.

Google’s Danny Sullivan responded on a Google forum by saying, “I apologize for this. We are looking into following up.” He also responded on Twitter saying: “Thanks, I’ll check it out.”

Again, I don’t see it affecting a ton of people, but some clearly do. Google just fixed the problem, Danny Sullivan published here saying “Sorry about that, everyone. We’ve identified the problem and things should be working again now.” So if you still see it, refresh hard and try again.
