Reminder – You can no longer create or edit ETAs

Just friendly a reminder that from June 30, creating new or editing existing ETAs is no longer possible. You can see the Google notification here.

PPCGreg raised the issue to Google Ads liaison staff Ginny Marvin on Twitter yesterday about not being able to fix “Target not working” on ETA and received this response:

ETAs will continue to serve. You will not be able to edit ETAs, including the URL. If you run into an issue where the target doesn’t work, you should probably remove the ad or switch to RSA. Alternatively, as Marvin points out, you can wait until the URL is working again.

Why do we (still) care? If you decide to keep your ETAs on, keep a close eye on them. We wouldn’t be surprised if more ETAs start getting rejected in Google’s latest effort to get everyone moving to another.
